Lake Wallenpaupack is the largest motorboat lake in Northeast PA. There are no horsepower or boat size restrictions. Wallenpaupack is a man-made lake that is owned by PPL (Pennsylvania Power and Light) and is open to the public for fishing, recreation, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, designated natural areas, and more. There are public boat launch areas as well as several marinas around Lake Wallenpaupack. It is approximately 13 miles long and has 52 miles of shoreline, straddling both Pike and Wayne County. PPL still uses the lake for electricity generating during peak use periods.

Towns around Lake Wallenpaupack: Tafton, Greentown, Paupack, Lakeville, and Hawley.  There are lakefront homes as well as 2nd tier, lakeview, and lakerights homes with boatslips.
